DOSIsoft has subscribed to the Varian Innovation Center (VIC) Program to better integrate its Patient QA software into the hospital ecosystem

DOSIsoft is pleased to announce subscription to Varian Innovation Center (VIC) Software Program to better integrate its Patient Quality Assurance (QA) software (MU2net, EPIbeam and EPIgray) into the hospital ecosystem and maximize its customer satisfaction.

The Varian Innovation Center (VIC) program is a service that Varian provides to 3rd Party (3P) vendors and Varian’s clinical customers that enables them to develop the technical capability that will allow them to successfully complete the required testing by Varian for Varian to be able to conclude that the 3P product is interoperable with Varian’s software systems.  The program provides subscribers access to all shipping versions of Eclipse/Aria environments as virtual machines in the cloud, access to Varian’s proprietary APIs along with requisite documentation, access to Varian’s standards-based interfaces DICOM and HL7, and assistance from Varian Engineering as needed to help ensure interoperability can be achieved and maintained.

Please note that, for the VIC program:

  • Participation does not guarantee that Varian will conclude that the 3P product is interoperable with Varian products or APIs.
  • Varian does not offer verification or validation testing.
  • The program is offered as a subscription service for 3P developers and this announcement does not guarantee perpetual access to VIC.

This Varian VIC membership is an important step for DOSIsoft to make its Patient QA products more connected with Varian treatment systems and facilitate patient data acquisition in clinical routine. Practically speaking, our customers will be able to acquire patient data directly from ARIA OIS (Oncology Information System).

Through the VIC program, DOSIsoft takes another important step in its product development strategy to offer multi-vendor Patient QA products. DOSIsoft QA products are already fully interoperable with Elekta’s ecosystem.
