Differential diagnosis between dementia with Lewy bodies and Alzheimer’s disease

Automated quantification of DaTSCAN™ uptake:

  • Differential diagnosis between dementia with Lewy bodies and Alzheimer’s disease
  • Automated quantification of DaTSCAN™ uptake: SPECT/CT co-registration on MRI segmented template; Predefined anatomical segmentation on MRI (caudate nuclei, putamen and occipital lobes); Report of binding potential (caudate/occipital, putamen/occipital, striatum/occipital etc, which can benefit from partial-volume effect correction)

Dementia, such as Alzheimer’s Disease

Diagnosis aid for Alzheimer’s disease from SPECT (ECD or HMPAO 99Tcm) exam, tracking hypoperfusion of the tracer

  • Co-registration to a template estimated from selected controls of similar age
  • Correction of SPECT intensity based on different methods: mean global activity (without background), proportional scaling or cerebellum perfusion activity
  • Voxel to voxel Z-score analysis performed using mean and standard deviation of the variability assessed on controls
  • Results displayed in a statistically-measured thresholded map of significant deviation from normality
  • Multiple comparison corrections are available (e.g: Bonferroni correction)
