Developed in partnership with Institut Curie (Paris system), the brachytherapy module integrated to ISOgray covers all anatomical localisations and all the conditions you meet during clinical practise.
Multiplicity.
In gynaecological as well as head and neck cases, sources are reconstructed either by manual entry of their coordinates, from two orthogonal X-ray films, or from MIP images generated with CT slices.
Physics and the clinic.
Sources (Co60, Cs137, Ir192, Ra226) can be rectilinear, curvilinear, points, or a combination of the three possibilities. Dose calculation integrates attenuation in tissues and oblique filtration due to the metallic sheath of sources. Isodose calculation is performed along all orientations, in transversal, sagittal and frontal planes, as well as along simple- and double-oblique directions. Brachytherapy and external radiotherapy maps can be summed.
